Congratulations to one of our graduate students, Sarah Edmunds! She is the first author on a research article that was recently accepted for publication in the journal Development and Psychopathology. Her study found that the link between infants’ motor imitation and later expressive language development is influenced by the presence of responding to joint attention (e.g., following a point) in infants at high and low risk for ASD.
