The Arc of King County is sponsoring a Wings for Autism® event that will take place on Saturday, October 15th. This event provides children with ASD and their parents opportunities to experience every aspect of navigating an airport, from getting a boarding pass, to going through the security line, to boarding an airplane. In addition to providing practice for children, it offers a great opportunity for airport personnel to learn about ASD so that they can make the travel experience more comfortable for children and their families.
