The Interagency Autism Coordinating Committee (IACC) is a federal advisory committee charged with coordinating all activities related to ASD within the US Department of Health and Human Services. They produce an annual “Summary of Advances in Autism Spectrum Disorder Research,” which has just been released. The report focuses on 20 scientific publications that represent significant progress in seven topic areas: biology and risk factors, screening and diagnosis, early intervention, health outcomes, education, transition to adulthood, and employment.
